Meet Coach Ashley Carter – 14U Head Coach and Organization Mental Training Coach

Coach Ashley Carter has been named the new 14U Softball Coach. Coach Carter brings over 17 years of coaching experience, ranging from elementary school up through Division I Power 5 to the Washington Ladyhawks organization.

 

In 2015, she joined Menlo College as an assistant coach under then head coach Matt Lisle. At Menlo, the 2015 coaching staff accomplished the most wins in school history since 2009 while entering their first conference tournament as the #1 seed. Coach Carter helped the program shatter every offensive record for the school and ranked within top 2 within the conference for HR’s, doubles, base hits, and RBI’s. After Menlo College, Coach Ashley Carter quickly graduated to be named the head coach at Notre Dame de Namur University, a DII school located in Belmont, Ca. While at NDNU, Coach Carter consistently promoted the program only for their athletics to be shut down permanently in 2019.  Coach Carter returned to Menlo College in 2018 and took on the role of Associate Director of Admissions as well as an assistant coach. As Covid interrupted their 2020 season, Coach Carter and her wife, Terrana, moved to the Northwest where she was named head coach at Shoreline Community college.  In 2022 Coach Carter was hired on as an assistant coach at the University of Washington where she assisted with the team’s offensive development, catcher development, & mental training. While at UW, Coach Carter contributed to the Huskies record books by helping the team hit 90 HR’s, making that the most in school history!

 

As a full team Team Building & High Performance Expert, Coach Ashley Carter, through her personal company, consults with college and travel programs to help leaders, students, & teams unlock the tools already within them so that they can win the game but dominate at the game of life. In just 1 year of full time work, she has helped two 2 Division I programs reach their conference tournament, 1 program win their conference tournament, & 1 program, North Carolina Central University Softball, reach the NCAA Division Regionals for the first time in school history.

 

In addition Coach Carter will be bringing her experience as a holistic development coach to our athletes and staff. Her mission in life is to equip female athletes with the identity, confidence, and mental skills they need to succeed at anything in life!
